ACTS
OF THE  INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF LAY DOMINICAN FRATERNITIES:

Herewith we present the ACTS of the International Congress of Lay Dominican Fraternities, held at Buenos Aires / Argentina, in March 2007, gratefully for all kind assistance during the period of preparation.

They are edited in the three official languages of the Order of Preachers: English, Spanish and French. Differences in national use of the idioms within the different countries could not be regarded. So, when national adaptations of some expressions are needed, we ask to keep mostly close to the substance of the official text.

In November 2007 the RESOLUTIONS of the Congress have been approved by the Master of the Order and his Council. Already the recent General Chapter of the Friars, held at Bogotà / Colombia, recommended the content and spirit of these Resolutions to the Friar’s attention (Acts Bogota 2007, N° 56).

The ACTS are followed by some relevant GENERAL DECLARATIONS (original text in italian), taken from parts of the Resolutions to adapt the unchanged RULE of Lay Dominican Fraternities to the needs of our present time.
